What we need:

We are seeking an individual with strong product-focused, restaurant operations experience and a background in technology product methodology and agile working to help us develop products that will simplify and improve our restaurant operations for our brands. The Product Manager represents the “voice of the customer, maintaining and prioritizing the needs of our restaurant teams in our brands and providing acceptance criteria for solutions created by the Tracks Product, Engineering and UXD teams in collaboration with our brand partners.

You will:

  • Product Development and Execution:
    • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery of product releases.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into actionable development plans.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams to manage dependencies, resolve issues, and drive product execution.
  • Work with all Yum! brands and BMU stakeholders to determine the needs for our brand Restaurant technology solutions.
  • Set the product vision and own the product roadmap in collaboration with our brands to show the timeline for delivery of key features.
  • Create user stories and prioritize/reprioritize them based on the needs of the business.
  • Creation of acceptance criteria based on feedback from stakeholders.
  • Understand key business objectives and strategy of the product.
  • Work directly with the customers: restaurant management teams, franchisees, and other key stakeholders to ensure they are engaged and supportive of direction.
  • Be responsible for final decisions on product functionality.
  • Assess business value and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that align with strategy.
  • Define success metrics and measure performance.
  • Participate in the release process as the product expert to surface any issues prior to release.
  • Ensure that roadmaps and the product backlog are visible, transparent, and clear to customers and stakeholders.
  • Work with product team on setting and communicating release dates and scope.
  • Follow-up with product customers to ensure features are working properly in production.

You have:

  • Skills:
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; Technical writing experience a plus (i.e. writing user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria).
    • Ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners.
    • Strong understanding of customer needs and business strategy.
    • Ability to use analysis to prioritize business value.
    • Understand and drive clear roles and responsibilities throughout the development life cycle.
    • Ability to build product roadmaps, run meetings and drive agenda.
    • Self-disciplined Get Stuff Done approach to work.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership decision making.
    • Extreme Ownership mentality (Growth Mindset):
      • Strong understanding of customer needs and business strategy.
      • Ability to use analysis to prioritize business value.
      • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies/tools and experience writing user stories.
  • Background:
    • Extensive experience with one or more of our brands and preferably within a Product role focused on driving technologies to improve restaurant field operations.
    • Experience within a restaurant management role within one of our brands.
    • Deep understanding of product management principles, agile methodologies, development, and best practices.

Salary Range: $122,100 to $162,280 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
