Description

Would you like to do cutting-edge legal work and help Amazon launch new devices and services? If so, we have a job for you! We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Devices business.

Key job responsibilities

You will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for a broad range of matters, including subscriptions compliance, product support, marketing, and privacy. You will work directly with the business, providing day-to-day input on business and strategy, and serving as counsel on strategic issues. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Ability to demonstrate great judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build rapport with and earn trust of business partners
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
