Catholic Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant looking to join our team and contribute to the vital work we do in healthcare. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact patient care.

What you'll do:

  • Accurate performance, documentation, and reporting of all CLIA waived and Point of Care testing.
  • Conducting microbiology tasks such as planting, gram staining, and loading blood cultures into analyzers.
  • Performing basic lab functions including assessing specimen integrity, stability, and proper collection.
  • Adhering to quality control policies and procedures to guarantee data reliability.
  • Documenting and reporting test results to nursing units and physicians, recognizing critical results promptly.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, performing minor repairs, and keeping related records.

What you'll bring:

  • Education: Associate Degree or equivalent in a Science field or enrolled in an MLS/MLT program required.
  • Experience: Laboratory clinical support and/or medical experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: None required.
