Senior Buyer - BIW and Robotics Capital Equipment

The BIW and Robotics Capital Equipment Senior Buyer position is part of the Global Indirect Purchasing department. The BIW and Robotics commodities include all tooling and equipment for the BIW centers for all vehicle assembly plants and the NA robotics equipment for all of NA. The Senior Buyer will manage all the commercial aspects of the equipment purchases and strategically collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and the Vehicle Assembly Plants at Stellantis to define commodity strategies and source programs.

Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Develop and present materials and data to all levels of senior management up to and including Senior Vice Presidents
• Track program changes to ensure overall spend is within budgeted approval levels
• Manage all aspects of the supplier relationship, including contract maintenance, achievement of annual cost savings targets, and development of supplier/commodity strategies
  
  

This role will also support the various process and procedures of the Indirect Purchasing department, while driving improvements to the organization and improving efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task; have excellent time management skills and the ability to set priorities independently. This position requires strong leadership, ability to work at a fast pace, and effectively communicate to upper management.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field or strong business skills and a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• + 8 years of commercial or technical business experience (for example purchasing, finance, logistics, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing etc. )
• Self-motivated / sense of ownership *Strong communication and customer focus
• Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt
• Strong command of both oral and written English language
• Strong use of MS Office suite
