Description
Baron Properties is seeking an experienced Real Estate Investment and Development Analyst to join the firm’s dynamic team. Investment and development team members are required to underwrite and manage Baron’s vertically integrated multifamily and industrial business lines. This position requires a high level of familiarity with real estate financial analysis, property-level underwriting, and cash flow forecasting.
The Analyst will focus primarily on multifamily investment and development projects throughout the mountain west and southwest with heavy focus on Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho. The Analyst will support senior leadership in evaluating new markets for investment and development.
It is expected that the Analyst will possess an acute attention to detail, understand general real estate market fundamentals, and can interpret, analyze, and comprehend the financial performance of real estate investments and developments. This position will play a key role in procuring and executing real estate investments and developments across a variety of business platforms with multiple institutional and private capital sources in select western US markets.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis for target markets in Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho
- Prepare detailed financial models and projections for potential investment and development opportunities
- Assist in due diligence activities for new acquisitions and developments
- Analyze real estate market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, demographic trends, and economic indicators
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of local market conditions and trends in assigned territories
- Create investment memorandums and presentation materials for executive leadership and capital partners
- Perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of various variables on investment performance
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify and analyze unique real estate investment and development opportunities
- Implement and lead efforts to improve efficiencies within the transactions team, including through artificial intelligence platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in real estate analysis or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Argus, and other relevant software
- Knowledge of real estate valuation methods and investment strategies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate
- Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
