Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator will supervise and assist with health center operations as delegated by the Clinical Operations Manager. The Clinical Coordinator will work with the health center team, patients, clients, public and external agencies to provide excellent customer service and patient care. They will show initiative and demonstrate sound decision-making and problem-solving techniques. The goal of this position is to support assigned COM and clinical staff to provide efficient & safe health center operations while ensuring our patient promise is delivered according to regulatory and quality standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day administrative and care team activities at assigned health centers
  • Make scheduled site visits to each assigned health center determined by leadership as applicable
  • Complete audits and resolve applicable findings
  • Monitor for operational efficiency to include but not limited to participating in interviews, precepting, and focused re-training in collaboration with COM
  • Coordinate patient care teams, lead huddles and serve as a liaison between patients and their families or medical professionals
  • Report, investigate, and complete escalations and occurrences in a timely manner
  • Serve onsite as clinical staff as needed to improve efficiency and promote service excellence
  • Assist with routing orders and referrals to high-quality, affordable facilities that are insurance approved. Monitor referral volume and ensure follow-up with PMD provider
  • Identify and report to COM any concerns related to operations and staff performance/behavior
  • Assist COM with other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Required:

  • Current license or certification in specialty such as RN, LPN or CMA
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Strong clinical background with developed critical thinking skills

Preferred:

  • Leadership experience
  • Outpatient or Primary care experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This job primarily operates in a professional office or clinical environment as business needs dictate. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are:

  • Effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time
  • Additionally, the employee will need to be able to lift/move/store individual 20–30-pound boxes and items such as office and medical supplies and equipment

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This role is considered a full-time, exempt position which is required to be onsite in the clinical environment 5 days per week. Evening and weekend work is infrequent but may occasionally be required as business needs dictate. This is a manager assistant role with professional growth opportunities within Proactive MD.

TRAVEL

Domestic travel is required and should be expected to be less than 20% of the position’s overall responsibilities. Typically, market-based travel, as business needs dictate.
