Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to perform simple, routine accounting clerical tasks by following well-established procedures and receiving instruction; typically assigned within the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable function.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Perform simple, routine accounting clerical tasks to include, but not limited to, data entry, post invoices, calculate and verify amounts, balance accounts, file accounting records, and assist with other accounting or clerical work.
  • Responsible for accounting operations for a complete and systematic set of records and accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of accounting reports by following standard accounting procedures and instruction.
  • Provide timely and accurate customer service to internal and external customers; respond to issues and seek advice or assistance for issues and questions as needed.
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests, post invoices for payment and process check requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work with vendors to research and resolve discrepancies and/or questions.
  • Responsible for scanning invoices into document and workflow management program.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma (Required) or GED; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • One year office experience preferred, preferably with general accounting clerk experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills and good organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel) and other desktop software.

May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds. The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary for those subject to any of the following areas: computer/server room, print shop, production area). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
