What you’ll do:

We are seeking an experienced e-commerce candidate who has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, metric improvement, managing all e-commerce channels, and delivering outstanding results. The role will require a candidate who is highly immersed in the world of e-commerce, e-commerce metrics & be expected to set the strategic direction of our e-commerce business, optimize P&L performance, and drive net revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Numbers / Metrics

  • Guidesly is a Metrics based organization, and this is a numbers position. Love the numbers, digging into analysis and solving problems both large and small
  • Conversion, conversion and conversion. Conversion goals are a top priority for this position. Driving continual improvement and hitting the goals. Obsession with having industry best conversion.
  • Analytics and metrics. Manage, maintain and report on key metrics and analytics platform.

Strategy

  • Responsible for meeting e-commerce revenue goals which are built on conversion metrics.
  • Develop and implement a cohesive e-commerce strategy that ensures a unified brand presence across all consumer channels
  • Implement and oversee a robust retention strategy across paid and owned channels, including customer experience, personalization, automation, and loyalty
  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies, promotions, and discount policies to maximize revenue and profit margins

Target Market

  • Create digital product launches and work with marketing to develop integrated marketing solutions across CRM, mobile, and social platforms to effectively engage target consumers
  • Manage editorial/marketing calendar and media agencies, ensuring launches meet the requirements of overarching brand goals and market needs to drive growth
  • Work with marketing team to design and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive site traffic, conversions, and revenue

Relationship

  • Be a team player, ready to help & unafraid to ask a clarifying question
  • Build strong relationships with key retail partners and e-commerce platforms to enhance sales performance and ensure optimal product visibility
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, manage risks, and facilitate collaborative problem-solving
  • Provide regular updates on e-commerce performance, highlighting goal achievement, sales impact, and actionable recommendations for future improvements

Market Understanding

  • Guidesly is run by a team that loves the outdoors, which directly translates into a market understanding. Having that innate sense of passion & curiosity for our guides & what they do is a must.
  • Monitor site performance across various platforms, browsers, and ISPs to ensure optimal functionality and user experience
  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends to stay ahead of the competition and drive innovation

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience leading digital marketing and e-commerce efforts
  • Deep roots in the e-commerce world, B2C & B2B2C would be preferred. We are a Guide trips company so experience with scheduling and trip booking a plus.
  • Desire to drive high impact results at a fast-growing start up
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, market dynamics, and consumer behavior. Must be experienced with conversion metrics and conversion optimization
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Passion for the outdoors!
  • Possess a data-driven mindset with proven experience utilizing analytics, metrics and insights as tools for informed decision-making
  • Project management skills; can push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; understands how to collaboratively align resources, seeks the input of key constituents, and manages others to achieve desired results.
