Job Description

Systems Admin, End User Computing is responsible for the operation and support of Information Technology services at one or more Grace locations in the region as directed by the IT Manager - Infrastructure & Operations. Person will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Information Technology at these sites to ensure compliance and consistency with all company policies, processes, procedures and other standards and regulations.

Provides Helpdesk and troubleshooting support and expertise to users of PCs and related peripherals and phone systems (land line and mobile). Manage PC and peripheral hardware, local and wide area networks, network communications equipment and Technical aspects of the Phone System (PBX) and related asset inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage PC and peripheral hardware and software, local area network hardware and software, PBX and phones.
  • This includes all personal computers, printers, portable devices, and infrastructure software.
  • Responsible for receiving, configuring, testing, and installing new desktop, notebook, phones and for assisting with the testing and installation of new or upgraded versions of software.
  • Local Telecommunications services coordination which includes management of those services. This includes telephone systems, wireless telephones, and other communication devices. This also includes all data communications, voice mail, paging, modem, and fax services. Services must be coordinated with the appropriate functional owners of the service within the company.
  • Support of Laboratory Systems and associated equipment. Assistance with troubleshooting and configuration of laboratory equipment. This requires close coordination and a working relationship with the Laboratory Manager and laboratory equipment vendors.
  • Responsible for the connections and services for all PC/ Telephone related hardware moves, adds, and changes.
  • Circuit installs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Tech support for Avaya installs and maintenance.
  • Participate in projects.

Required Experience

  • Requires minimum 5 years’ experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Intel-based PCs & AVAYA PBX & Cisco Network equipment or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Broad range of experience should include extensive knowledge of Intel-based hardware; Microsoft-based operating systems (Windows 11, 2016, and 2019) and Office software (Office 2016/O365).
  • Telephony experience, including VoIP, AVAYA PBX, Smartphones.
  • Cable experience familiarity with voice and data cabling requirements (CAT6,7 and fiber).
  • Extensive knowledge of Information Technology deployed in manufacturing.
