Outreach Case Manager/Residential Counselor

HOURS: Full time, 40 hours/week. Day/afternoon/evening/weekend hours, on-call (as-needed)

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, assess, and collaborate with runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness. Extensive collaboration with youth, families, referral sources, law enforcement, and other community partners. Complete necessary follow ups, referrals, and documentation for individuals receiving services. This position will require crisis intervention, problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to educate young people on available services, harm reduction, and self-advocacy. Provide supervision and support for youth in shelter care and reception center. Qualified applicant will provide direct client care, maintain/model appropriate boundaries, and teach applicable coping and problem-solving skills. Complete reports and documentation as necessary. Prepare accurate and timely documentation and reports as necessary. Assess client’s needs, and assist them with appropriate services, support, decisions, and plans.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field preferred; or post-secondary education and a minimum of one year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver's license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
