Comprehensive Life Resources is seeking a passionate team player to join our Outpatient team as Substance Use Apprentices. This program will provide both on-the-job training along with coursework throughout the week. This is a three-year commitment.

Function: Provide outreach and long-term intensive case management to consumers with severe, persistent mental illness. Provide targeted skills training in the areas of community living. Provide treatment and specialized case management to clients with identified substance use disorder. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide both case management and psychiatric rehabilitation services.
- Conduct initial and ongoing, comprehensive substance use assessments.
- Provide treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders in the community.
- Use Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Provide psychoeducation around substance use disorders to clients and natural supports.
- Be aware of local resources such as housing, recreational programs, and transportation services, and connect consumers to these resources as needed.
- Embrace a strength-based, recovery orientation when working with consumers and their natural supports.
- Communicate with consumers' natural resources.
- In addition to the above, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with, and willing to work within, a harm reduction model.
- Experience working with individuals with severe persistent mental illness including psychotic disorders.
- Current valid drivers license; proof of insurance.
