Medical Records Clerk

We’re seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our growing team! Reliability, trustworthiness and consistency with regard to attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperative and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi-task and work in a stressful environment are also essential functions to this job

Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain facility medical records system in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.

Code and quantify records from admission to discharge.

Assist with development of record policies and procedures.

Maintain a documented, organized system which is readily accessible by others.

Prepare reports as requested.

Act as secretary for designated meetings.

Conduct resident chart audits quarterly.

Requirements:

Medical Records certification preferred.

Basic clerical and office function skills.

Good communication skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology.
