Facility Front Counter Associate

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide exceptional customer service and handle financial transactions for a high-traffic facility. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to effectively engage with the public regarding Recreation Division programs and services at the BEAST Facility.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Operate computers and Rec Trac/Web Trac and relevant software.
- Answer multi-line phone system and directs calls accordingly.
- Assist the public with the use of the BEAST facility.
- Practice basic principles and practices of general accounting and maintain a cash drawer.
- Operate office equipment efficiently as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Maintain office supply inventory.
- Ensure facilities are properly cleaned before, during, and after each event.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, City officials, and the public.
- Perform a variety of custodial duties such as ordering and taking inventory of janitorial supplies as well as removing trash from receptacles and cleaning restrooms.
- Operate concessions counter as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and Blood Born Pathogen certification within six months of start date.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from the public.
- Principles and practices of public relations
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Required: None
Preferred: Prior experience in customer service and handling cash drawers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Working Environment: Work closely with others in an office environment utilizing a computer and other office equipment.
