Facilities General Maintenance/Sanitation Trainee

Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the facility in accordance with BRC and OSHA requirements. Perform general cleaning in and out of the freezer and other tasks as assigned. This is a full time, non-exempt hourly position, reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, Facilities Manager, and QSEH Manager.

Day Shift: Sunday-Thursday 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Starting Wage: $26.35

What you will be doing:

• Clean conveyor areas in the freezer and remove debris and pallet material
• Remove ice buildup from the ceiling as required
• Clean windows and doors as required
• Maintain the exterior of the building in an orderly and professional appearance
• Assist maintenance team as needed

• Assist in other warehouse activities as required
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Continually look for opportunities for improvement
• Other duties as assigned

What you will bring to the table:
High School Degree, 3+ years of work experience in industrial maintenance or related field, working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, previous experience with PLCs is a plus, familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus, must be able to lift 50lbs, climb a 120ft ladder using a safety harness, and work effectively in a cold freezer environment.
