We are actively looking for a Front of the House manager at LB Steakhouse in San Jose Santana Row - $70k to $80k Salary Range, depending on experience

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate embodies the values and atmosphere of an upscale steakhouse, blending sophistication with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. San Jose diners expect exceptional quality and service, and we’re looking for a FOH Manager who can consistently deliver on those expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless and elevated guest experiences
  • Lead, train, and motivate the FOH team to uphold exceptional service standards
  • Manage daily floor operations, including table assignments, reservations, and guest flow
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, fostering loyalty and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure smooth communication and service
  • Monitor staff performance, conduct regular training sessions, and address any service-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experiencein a Front of House leadership role, preferably in a steakhouse or fine dining restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of upscale dining service standards, wine pairing, and menu presentation
  • Experience managing guest reservations and familiarity with reservation platforms like OpenTable
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and retain a high-performing FOH team
  • Outstanding communication and guest relations skills, with the ability to handle feedback professionally
  • Maintaining a polished appearance and adhering to business casual attire is essential
  • Calm and effective under pressure, especially during peak service times

Leadership & People Skills

  • Lead by example, setting the tone for professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes both guest and team satisfaction

Operational Expertise

  • Work closely with the General Manager to achieve operational goals and maintain the restaurant's overall success
  • Assist in managing FOH scheduling, inventory, and staff development plans
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns to ensure every visit exceeds expectations
