Assistant Project Manager

Veliz Construction is looking for an Assistant Project Manager ready to join a highly demanding, fast-paced construction environment. Description

• Provide administrative support to Project Manager and Project Superintendents
• Ability to prepare cost estimates and change order proposals by contacting subcontractors, taking-off quantities, and obtaining materials pricing
• Generate and update construction schedules
• Assist to develop, negotiate and execute subcontracts and purchase orders
• Coordinate, plan and execute project activities according to schedule
• Assist Project Manager to monitor and analyze job costs and maintain accurate reports
• Manage and be responsible for processing and tracking monthly client payment applications
• Generate, track, review, and process change proposal requests, change orders, submittals, RFI’s, and construction logs.
• Manage preparation and execution of the project closeout process and documentation
• Ability to work and maintain work flow in a fast-paced environment and work under stress
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 – 3 years experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
• Desirable experience with federal customers
• Proven commitment to safety and building relationships with the owner
• Bilingual (Spanish) desirable
