Transportation Secretary

Western Oil, Inc. is currently hiring for a Transportation Secretary out of our work location in Lincoln, RI. Western has been a leading provider of environmental and hazardous waste management services in New England since 1975, supplying our customers with a variety of environmental services and petroleum recycling systems.

Duties:

• Welcome visitors to the establishment, determine the nature and purpose of their visit and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
• Greet customers on the telephone; screen, and forward calls, providing information and professionally taking messages. Enter calls for pick-ups.
• Collect, sort and distribute deliveries.
• Transmit information or documents to customers, using a computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
• File and maintain records.
• Create databases, Excel, and Word programs to suit current tasks.
• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities, and checking source documents for accuracy.
• Enter data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on a keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
• Print, type, and prepare all documents for upcoming work.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
