Job Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with team members to develop insights for AHL clubs that help create sustainable organizations and deepen fan engagement.
  • Analyze data collected through AHL Analytics to identify and disseminate best practices.
  • Translate statistical data into digestible and actionable processes to contribute to member-clubs growth.
  • Develop bi-weekly reports to identify areas of success and needs in the growth of member-clubs.
  • Provide support to league professional development seminars including annual Team Business Meetings, Leadership Seminars, and Sales Account Executive Trainings.
  • Assist the Vice-President, Team Business Services with league-wide data collection, including compliance, league reports, etc. to ensure accurate and detailed reporting.
  • Responsible for predictive/statistical modeling, trend analysis, and best practice identification.
  • Partner with the Vice President, Team Business Services to design new and innovative analytical solutions to predict customer behaviors & recommend actions to drive desired outcomes.
  • Research key trends affecting the sports & entertainment industries.
  • Act as a liaison between the league office and team staff to coordinate accurate revenue reporting and to further facilitate communication among the AHL clubs to gather best practices.
  • Participate in local team site visits.

Preferred Education
Degree in Economics, Sports Management, Data, Analytics, or Business Administration Preferred

Required Work Experience

  • Sports Industry experience preferred but not required
  • Background in Data, Analytics, or Economics
  • Experience with Excel, Stata, Simul8, R, Python, or SQL

Other Job Related Requirements
Travel <5% of the time, occasional evenings and weekends, ability to work extended hours as needed.
