Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced nurses and new grad nurses.
NEW GRAD APPLICANTS SHOULD INCLUDE A COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF ICU CLINICAL EXPERIENCES IN THEIR RESUME, INCLUDING ICU CLINICAL ROTATIONS, CAPSTONES, INTERNSHIPS/EXTERNSHIPS, OR PAID EMPLOYMENT. ICU EXPOSURE IS REQUIRED. PLEASE ALSO CONSIDER APPLYING TO THE NEW GRAD RESIDENCY JOB POSTING.
Hiring preferences: 1 year RN experience strongly preferred. ICU experience strongly preferred. New Grads with previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Location: Mary Brigh 6BGF (MB6BGF), Medical (Intensive Care)
Patient Care Type: A medical/respiratory intensive care unit providing intense interventions for severe medical concerns including sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, and more. End-of-life and chronic disease management are incorporated into goals of care.

All newly graduated Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of practice experience are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
The RN is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings to meet patient needs. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients, leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program. RN license by applicable state requirements. Excellent communication skills and experience in team environments required. Computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical records preferred. Flexible work hours may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

The pay for this role is $39.84 - $62.84. Mayo Clinic has an innovative nursing compensation model rewarding experience, education, and dedication.
