Data Analytics Intern

Description

We are looking for a motivated and creative Data Analytics Intern to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a motivated self-starter who is passionate about pet hospitality industry. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, contribute to real-world projects, and develop your data analytic skills.

This role is for current college students or recent graduates up to 1-year post-graduation.

Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation:

• Assist in generating insights and recommendations for various business functions, including operations and marketing
• Using a range of tools and methodologies, responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting to generate insights and recommendations that drive optimal business performance
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis, support database maintenance tasks.
• Combine analytical and creative thinking to gather actionable insights about the business
• Clearly communicate results, insights and solutions both written and visually
• Manage and perform special projects and duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related field
• Ideally located in NYC metro area for occasional on-site meetings
• Passion for data analytics and a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SQL
• Experience or familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
