The quality inspector role is based in the metal shop and is focused on ensuring the quality of our client's products. The position involves creating control plans and quality assurance methods for incoming sheet metal, machined components, and fixtures.

The quality inspector role is based in the metal shop and is focused on ensuring the quality of our client's products. The position involves creating control plans and quality assurance methods for incoming sheet metal, machined components, and fixtures.
Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
- Conduct first article inspections, as well as in-process and final inspections, on both visual and mechanical aspects of machined and sheet metal parts.
- Validate and authorize the completion of returned parts.
- Identify and address quality issues related to processes, products, and production during the shift.
- Quality inspectors work closely with design engineers and technicians to develop verification and validation protocols.
- Ensure that all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and arrange for repairs as necessary.
- May need to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 60 pounds occasionally (0-33% of the time).
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the machining or sheet metal industry.
- Extensive knowledge of inspection equipment, including setup and calibration procedures.
- Understanding of geometric tolerancing and verification techniques.
- Strong numerical and statistical skills.
