What You’ll Do
The Intern, Software Engineer position involves designing, developing, and testing specific product areas within the Infinite Campus Student Information System. Key responsibilities include writing code that adheres to business requirements, debugging and testing code, developing validation tests, and creating system documentation. Interns will need to research and resolve technical issues, estimate the effort required for tasks, and follow approved software development methodologies. They are expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders, demonstrate a commitment to quality and timelines, and adhere to security guidelines.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this position is someone pursuing a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field and has completed coursework in Data Structures, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming, and databases. They should possess strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to work across functional teams, and a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented mindset.
Your skill-set
Essential skills for success include proficiency in Java, SQL, and XSLT, as well as analytical and organizational abilities. Candidates must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, able to handle frequent software releases, and committed to adhering to security practices and procedures.
