Brand Designer

Abacus Works is looking for a Brand Designer to work on Hyperlane, the first permissionless interoperability layer.

The Hyperlane protocol is pioneering permissionless and modular interoperability. Providing developers with an API to connect between blockchains, Hyperlane is the first tool that allows anyone to add interoperability capabilities to any chain, without having to deal with any gatekeeping! In This Role You Will

• Create compelling and consistent visual identities across all platforms, including graphics, animations, visual guides, and visual assets for technical case studies.
• Develop technical illustrations and infographics to explain Hyperlane’s architecture and workflows.
• Establish and maintain brand design guidelines to ensure a cohesive and polished brand identity across all materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver creative design solutions.
• Own the creation of marketing visuals for social media (e.g., Twitter), blog content, and website updates.
• Design collaterals for marketing campaigns and presentation decks, balancing multiple projects at a time.
• Lead the charge in transitioning from an external agency to building an in-house design function.
  
  

For This Role You Are Or Have

• Passionate about the crypto industry, its culture, aesthetics, and branding trends.
• 3+ years of experience in visual and brand design, including managing end-to-end design processes for brand and marketing launches.
• A proven track record of creating brand and marketing assets, with significant contributions to design guidelines and systems.
• Strong skills in simplifying and communicating technical or complex concepts through innovative design solutions.
• Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar design platforms.
• Self-directed and proactive, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment while taking ownership of your projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams.

• Experience designing for crypto projects or ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Webflow or similar platforms for web design and development.
• Familiarity with creating visuals for decentralized ecosystems or developer-focused audiences.
  
  

Salary range for this role is $120K to $150K USD (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.
