Responsibilities
This role represents Mayo Clinic as one of the first contacts a patient or visitor will encounter and serves as a critical team member in facilitating patient visits. The General Services Attendant demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, empathy, and the ability to interact with patients, visitors, and others who present to Mayo Clinic. Responsibilities include verifying patient appointments, communicating with colleagues to gather details, enforcing institutional visitor policies, assisting in navigation, and monitoring patient and visitor flow. The role may involve conflict de-escalation, wheelchair and stretcher transportation, and delivering specimens. It requires varied hours including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off.
Qualifications
A high school diploma/GED is required. Minimum one year of experience demonstrating customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills is required. Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record are necessary.

Schedule Details Must be able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Primarily 9:30 am to 6:00 pm or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Schedule subject to change based on department needs.
Weekend Schedule Must be available to work weekends/evenings/holidays as scheduled.
