JOB SUMMARY:

The Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating core internal communications and communications processes and co-development of internal content, designed to foster increased employee engagement and morale. Reports to the Design and Communication Manager.

SALARY RANGE: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually (companywide)

You are immediately 100% vested in all contributions (including BNB match). We provide both traditional (Pre-Tax) and Roth (post –tax) contribution options in our 401(k) plan.
  • We’re also proud to be an employee-owned company. This means you get an ownership stake in BNB through a benefit called an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). It’s 100% company funded and is invested in BNBuilders stock. You can participate in this long-term plan after you complete 1 year of service (with at least 1,000 hours).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR to create and implement internal communication campaigns that drive employee engagement.
  • Optimize internal communication channels, measure engagement, and recommend updates or retirements as needed.
  • Support content development for BNBuilders' quarterly craft labor newsletter
  • Support the SharePoint-based intranet by working with IT, department leads, and external consultants to implement communication strategies and develop site standards.
  • Assist in highlighting BNBuilders' culture and benefits for team members and prospects.
  • Manage the internal communication calendar, coordinating departmental initiatives, writing onboarding announcements, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Develop content that reflects the company’s voice and brand for internal and external channels.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and confidentiality skills.
  • Support messaging from HR, Marketing, Communications, Safety, leadership, and other departments; repurpose external stories for internal use.
  • Assist in creating presentation materials for major company or team meetings.
  • Provide relevant communication support for college recruiting efforts.
  • Support language translation efforts for critical communications.
  • Support one off HR projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, English or related field preferred. Equivalent, relevant work may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in internal communications, public relations or other communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic graphic design skills are preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and the creative suite preferred.
  • Fluent Spanish, both written and spoken is a plus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
