This is a Full Time, Salaried position
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and assess patient’s clinical issues and healthcare needs
- Record physical findings, and formulates a plan and prognosis, based on the patient’s condition and the doctor’s plan of treatment
- Evaluations and Re-evaluations of established patients
- Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment when needed
- Discusses the case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan
- Performs pain management injections for specific diagnoses according to practice protocols
- Prescribe/Order as medically indicated: - Diagnostics - Therapeutics - Medication - Pain Management Procedures - DME
- Eagerness and ability to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on a variety of tasks and projects
- Supports the vision and culture of the organization. Demonstrates personal commitment through active involvement in the performance improvement process
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
- Highly proficient with computers especially: EMR Software, Meaningful Use, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to manage high levels of stress and capable of making sound difficult decisions
- Very structured, organized, consistent, pleasant, cheerful, yet professional personality, who will earn the respect of patients and co-workers immediately
- Must be incredibly punctual. Great attendance required
Qualifications, Education, and Experience (APRN):
- Active, valid Indiana (APRN) Nurse Practitioner certificate, required
- DEA Registration, preferred
Qualifications, Education, and Experience (PA-C):
- Must have a valid, unrestricted professional license in the state of Indiana and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine
Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position will include sitting and standing with occasional light to medium lifting. Ability to help lift patients and transport in a wheelchair from clinic to parking lot. An employee must meet these requirements to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
