Description
Duties:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents/guardians
- Monitor and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Assist with diaper changes, potty training, and basic hygiene needs
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging interactions
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and provide appropriate support
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent (early childhood education coursework is a plus)
- Must Pass Pre-Employment background check
Salary:
$8 - $9 per hour
