The Director of Healthcare Operations will oversee the management and coordination of healthcare services in at Eisenhower Center, a Specialized Residential Service facility operating under the regulatory licensure of Adult Foster Care with a resident population consisting of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Mental Illness (MI), and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). This role focuses on ensuring that medical needs are met, high-quality care is provided, and caseloads and frequencies are optimized. The Director will guide the nursing department through strategic planning and structured management.

Role And Responsibilities

Healthcare Management:

• Ensure that residents receive high-quality medical care and that their healthcare needs are met.
• Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Collaboration with internal and external providers to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare services and make necessary adjustments.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
• Develop programs designed to promote Health Education for both residents and staff.
  
  

Ø Team Leadership

• Manage and support a team of RN, LPN, and MA’s, ensuring quality patient care delivery.
• Manage and support a multifaceted group of billable and case management nurses.
• Provide guidance and direction to nursing staff through strategic planning and structured management.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss care plans, caseloads, and operational improvements.
• Monitor and evaluate the clinical performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  
  

Ø Operational Oversight

• Optimize caseloads and service frequencies to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
• Develop and implement systems to manage external appointments are being made.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance healthcare operations.
• Develop and implement processes that ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
• Develop and implement a fully comprehensive on-call rotation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including licensing requirements.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  
  

Ø Quality Assurance

• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the highest standards of care are being met.
• Address and resolve any resident, family or staff concerns promptly and professionally.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Prepare and present regular reports on nursing performance, outcomes, and areas for improvement to the executive team, Medical Director and other stakeholders.
  
  

Ø Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Manage staffing schedules and always ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of healthcare staff.
• Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.
• Active participation as a member of the Executive team; participating in strategic discussions and activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in nursing or healthcare administration is required.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role within a healthcare or residential facility, preferably with a focus on TBI, I/DD, and MI populations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Relevant certifications in nursing management or specialized care for TBI, I/DD, and MI populations are preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
