Geographic Technologies Group is a leader in providing cutting-edge Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions to clients across various government agencies. We are committed to empowering organizations with innovative spatial solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability. The GIS Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting potential clients interested in GIS technologies and services. This position requires a combination of technical expertise in GIS and strong sales acumen to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.

Required Knowledge and Skills: Required Education and Experience:

  • Client Acquisition & Management:
  • Identify and prospect potential clients through research, networking, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Solution Selling:
  • Understand and articulate the value of GIS solutions in addressing client challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the technical and support teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and implementation.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client input and market trends.
  • Sales Reporting & Strategy:
  • Track and manage sales activities using CRM tools.
  • Contribute to sales strategies to achieve team and individual targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. A background in GIS is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or customer relationship management.
  • Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS, QGIS) and applications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
