Equal Plus Consulting has been engaged to search for an IT Director to work on a permanent/full time basis for a client in Turlock, CA or remotely.

SUMMARY

Our client is seeking an Information Technology Director to join our team and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT systems across multiple sites. You will be responsible for professional management and operational support.


This position is the lead role in the Information Technology department.


Experience and Training Guidelines:

• 8 to 10 years’ experience in information technology role, or related field

• 5 years in management or leadership role


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design, analyze, implement, and manage major systems projects

• Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise

management and make recommendations for improvement

• Perform research and analysis necessary to develop and make appropriate recommendations for hardware/software configurations and for interfacing with other systems

• Participate in the development and implementation of the companies’ information technology goals, objectives, policies, and priorities

• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits

• Oversee cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance

• Manage the IT department/team supporting infrastructure and Help Desk

• Assess the strategic direction of information technology

• Provide technical expertise in current technologies

• Establish and enforce IT guidelines and standards

• Maintain partnerships with external IT providers


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Phone system administration, end user support, desktop support.

• Perform special projects and/or related duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills


Knowledge of:

• Current computer industry technology, practices and trends, including system development and administration.

• Principles and practices of complex computer system design.

• Principles and practices of selection, development, testing, integration, cataloging, maintenance and support of application program components.

• Principles and practices of research and analytical methodology.

• Installation, maintenance, customization and testing of large, centralized computer systems

• Changes and advancements in cybersecurity

• User procedures documentation techniques.

• Capabilities of personal computers and the inter-connectivity to a central host based system.

• Principles, procedures and practices of business operations from a user community perspective.

• Methodologies for project management including project tracking and project control.

• Techniques for training users.


Ability to:

• Properly interpret and make decisions in accordance with company policies.

• On a continuous basis, know and understand all aspects of the job; intermittently analyze work papers, reports and special projects; identify and interpret technical and numerical information.

• Analyze departmental data system needs and requirements; identify goals, objectives, and problems, examine alternatives; develop recommendations and implement solutions; develop project plans; organize and monitor the work of others.


Proficient in:

• Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Microsoft PC Operating Systems (Windows 7/10/11 platforms), Microsoft Active Directory and Domain environment, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWARE server architecture and management.


Familiar with:

• Microsoft Exchange, VOIP system management, SQL Server architecture and management, SD-WAN, VPN and firewall configuration, layer 3 switches, including VLAN configuration and subnet routing.


SPECIAL DEMANDS

Must demonstrate a blend of technical and analytical skills to resolve issues in a fast paced pressured environment; applicant should have the ability to work safely and effectively in industrial manufacturing areas. Position requires occasional off-peak hours or weekend work and the ability to travel.
