Manufacturing Manager

Job Description: As Manufacturing Manager, this role will be responsible for directing and overseeing all the value-added activities in the production assembly and manufacturing processes with an emphasis on the technical aspects of the process. This candidate must be strong in time management, creative thinking, achieve departmental KPIs, and be adaptable when new projects and priorities are provided. They may also be involved in developing new products or processes, as well as ensuring that all manufacturing standards and regulations are being met. Work with a team of engineers, designers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that the company’s products meet quality standards and can be produced efficiently.

Role And Responsibilities

• Lead and support safety initiatives and policies, to ensure plant operations are safe and consistent with company and governmental standards and promote a safety-centered culture
• Create and maintain workforce staffing plans.
• Scheduling production shifts and monitoring operations during shifts to ensure that they run smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensuring that all production processes meet quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drives improvements to KPIs. Collects, analyzes, and reviews production/operating reports and drives solutions to manufacturing, operational, and maintenance challenges to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Manage and develop associates base on organizational and developmental needs/conduct monthly one-on-ones with each employee to provide guidance and leadership.
• Participate in Kaizen Activities
• Perform test processes to ensure products adhere to SOPEIA, ISO, DOD, ATF, and customer specifications and standards.
• Consulting with engineers or other team members to determine how a new design will affect existing manufacturing processes.
  
  

Capabilities:

• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Principles, use of lean tools to identify root cause and implement change for sustainable growth.
• Experience in Metal Fabrication and light assembly, specifically welding.
• Ability to direct, teach, motivate, and coach.
• Create wiring schematics for custom jobs.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Create workflow diagrams and determine equipment capacity and limitations.
  
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Years’ Experience: 7-years minimum
• Leadership Experience, min 5 years prior experience
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while working on equipment.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.)
• Be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
• Ability to climb various equipment and ladders, lift and carry equipment, tools and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Military experience and training with honorable discharge a plus.
