Job Summary
The individual selected for this position will work closely with the customer to address complex scientific problems related to a variety of areas such as physics, chemistry, and the earth sciences. The candidate should have the ability to perform independent research and develop the proper approach/solution to related scientific problems will be important considerations in the selection process.

Job Summary
The individual selected for this position will work closely with the customer to address complex scientific problems related to a variety of areas such as physics, chemistry, and the earth sciences. The candidate should have the ability to perform independent research and develop the proper approach/solution to related scientific problems will be important considerations in the selection process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and interpret scientific codes and algorithms.
- Conduct research on forces, structures and phenomena.
- Evaluate experiment results and perform quality control tests.
- Develop and analyze the results of models.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Create modeling tools and modify existing tools using common programming languages.
- Report generation.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Active secret or higher clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Master’s degree in the physical sciences with 10 or more years’ experience or a PhD with a proven record of research in his/her field of expertise.
- Expertise in Physics related discipline such as Astrophysics, nuclear, electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamics etc.
- Proficient in creating tools in common programming languages.
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Effective communicator.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Good writing skills, as there will be a requirement to write reports.
- Degree of judgment and multi-tasking associated with performing job duties.
- Successful background and drug screening check.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
- High Performance Computing (HPC) processing relevant to Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), Parallel, or Tensor design.
- Familiar with Astrophysics, nuclear physics, electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamics
- Finite Volume and/or Finite Difference Time Domain expertise.
