What is a Rescue Technician?
Rescue Technicians provide Stand-by Confined Space Rescue to customers such as Refineries, Tank Farms, Power Plants, and many other Industrial Facilities. They are able to use their technical training to set up various rope systems, depending on the situation. Rescue Technicians work in a team environment with like-minded individuals who are goal-oriented, hardworking, and dedicated. Through training, they are able to keep their skills sharp with the Rescue Equipment, including RPM Systems, SCBA, SKED, Stokes Basket, etc. There have been countless Ancon Rescue Technicians who have continued on to become full-time Firefighters with departments all over the US, including LA and Orange Counties!
What are the Qualifications for the Tech 1 position?

- Confined Space Rescue Awareness
- Low Angle Rope Rescue Operations
- Rescue Systems 1
- Team player with a good attitude and schedule flexibility
- Physically Fit for physical work requirements (and Respirator/Fit Test)
- Onboarding and Random Drug Testing
- Ancon Orientation and Job Skills Training
