Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop analytical solutions, and communicate findings effectively. Additionally, the Data Analyst will conduct regular training sessions for end-users, validate data to ensure accuracy, and coordinate with various departments to synchronize and confirm the accuracy of information between systems. This multifaceted role requires a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across departments to maintain data integrity and consistency.

Principal Duties Include

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
• Acquire, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance metrics and deliver insights.
• Conduct regular training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
• Develop training materials, tutorials, and documentation to support ongoing learning and development initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Business Intelligence to design and deliver customized training programs tailored to the needs of different departments and user groups.
• Validate data on a regular basis to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and databases.
• Develop and implement data validation processes and procedures to identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in data.
• Coordinate with various departments to synchronize data and confirm that information is consistently accurate and up-to-date.
• Act as a liaison between IT, data governance, and business teams to facilitate data synchronization efforts and address any data-related issues or concerns.
• Continuously monitor data quality metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of data validation efforts and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide support and guidance to end-users on data validation techniques and troubleshooting data-related issues as needed.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience required.
• Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in healthcare or real estate.
• Proficiency working with LLMs
• Strong proficiency in DAX language and tabular models.
• Experience creating SQL statements, views, stored procedures, and data extraction routines to import/export data (ETL) from the repositories.
• Proficiency in Power BI (data visualization)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and machine learning, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of database maintenance activities including backups, indexing, integrity, and consistency checking.
• Basic knowledge of SQL partitioning, log shipping, replication, and other advanced SQL Server implementations a plus.
