We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee our company's purchasing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner. The Procurement Manager will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies:

  • Create and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.

Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new supplier relationships.

Procurement Process Management

  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets and expenditures.

Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with inventory control to manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Reporting And Analysis

  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Education, Work Experience, And Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and 5+ years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in modules related to procurement and supply chain management. Proficiency in SAP MM (Materials Management) is essential.
  • Knowledge of the electro-mechanical manufacturing process, including production capabilities, lead times, and quality control measures.
  • Ability to coordinate with contract manufacturers to resolve issues, ensure compliance with specifications, and maintain production schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Travel: 10% - including overseas.
