About The Job
The i9 Sports Flag Football Instructor/Official is responsible for enhancing the overall experience for the i9 Sports Flag Football program. The Instructor/Official will officiate programs for age groups between 5-14 years old. The Flag Football Instructor/Official will assist our volunteer coaches each week to ensure a positive, dynamic, and effective instructional experience is delivered. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skills levels.
Instructor & Official Shifts are weekends only with shifts available on Saturday. Our venues are located across Leesburg, Ashburn, South Riding, and Sterling.
Upcoming Schedule: Weekends Only - Saturdays
April 6th to June 2nd - Spring League
June 7th to July 12th - Summer League
Sept 6th to Oct 19th - Fall League

Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Skill Development:
- Teach young athletes the fundamental skills and techniques of Flag Football.
- Implement age-appropriate drills and exercises to enhance players' Flag Football abilities (Practice plans created and provided by i9 Sports).
- Provide constructive feedback to help players improve their performance.
- Complete mandatory pre season training sessions (Financially Compensated)
- Game Officiating:
- Serve as an official for youth Flag Football games, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.
- Maintain a professional and unbiased demeanor while officiating games.
- Address rule violations and conflicts with fairness and diplomacy.
- Safety and Supervision:
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices & games.
- Supervise and manage groups of young athletes, maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Address any safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, participants, and fellow staff members.
- Provide updates on program activities via Connecteam.
- Address questions, concerns, and feedback from parents and participants professionally.
- Previous experience coaching or playing Flag Football.
- Knowledge of Flag Football rules and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and parents.
- A passion for youth sports and the development of young athletes.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work each weekend of the given season Spring, Summer, etc.)
- Ability to efficiently solve problems
- Ability to motivate and manage others (i.e. coaches)
- Extremely reliable and responsible
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must have own vehicle/reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass background check
