- This is a hybrid position with the ability to work 2-3 days remotely and 2-3 days in our Euclid, OH office**
- Lead the Purchasing department to execute and optimize product-specific purchasing activities, ensuring timely deliveries and cost efficiency.
- Manage departmental budgets, aligning them with broader business goals, and set operational objectives to improve efficiency.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and compliance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead supplier performance management, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary to improve supplier quality and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities, address operational challenges, and share updates on purchasing performance, including KPIs.
- Ensure that supplier on-boarding requirements, such as NDAs, tax documentation, and vendor-master data, are met to safeguard business interests.
- Develop, track, and act upon departmental and supplier KPIs, ensuring continuous improvements are made based on performance data.
- Work closely with other departments to identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction through purchasing-related actions.
- Manage the Purchase Order entry process, ensuring accurate MRP functionality and planning within SAP.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and customers, overseeing demand/supply planning and order management to ensure optimal service levels.
- Ensure accurate release, confirmation, and expediting of Purchase Orders, managing the process with a focus on minimizing supply chain disruptions.
- Develop and implement an optimal supply plan that balances customer service levels, production capacity, and operational costs in line with the budget.
- Oversee stock inventory and critical material management, ensuring adherence to defined target values.
- Proactively perform scenario planning for potential supply chain disruptions, ensuring business continuity.
- Identify risks, manage project metrics, and conduct data-driven analysis to support effective decision-making.
- Lead or participate in strategic company and intercompany projects aimed at cost savings and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and qualify new suppliers as needed to support business growth.
- Regularly evaluate and manage team performance, conducting year-end reviews and mentoring new employees.
- Maintain accurate material master data in SAP, ensuring all purchasing parameters are updated.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing Management, Operations Management, or a similar field (preferred).
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills related to purchasing and supply chain challenges.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience in team leadership, project management, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to manage direct reports and mentor employees effectively.
