Job Title: Entry Business Analyst (Financial Books & Records)

Job Overview

The Financial Books and Records Transformation Analyst will facilitate the transition of financial processes to a new statewide accounting platform. This role requires an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support financial reporting, data reconciliation, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed process maps for current and future financial operations.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with new system requirements.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of the Chart of Accounts (COA).
• Oversee financial data migration, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in process mapping and improvement.
• Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle or transformation implementations.
• Knowledge of Power Query, PowerPivot is a plus.
• Familiarity with process modeling software (IBM Blueworks, Visio).
  
  

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
