We are currently seeking a motivated, passionate and experienced fundraising professional to fill our Director of Development, Holocaust Survivor Services (HSS) role. JCCGCI does its utmost to enable Holocaust survivors to continue to maintain their independence as long as possible and with dignity. While these vulnerable, frail, low-income Nazi-victims are eligible for programs specific to Holocaust survivors, we also avail them of our general senior services to meet their unique needs. The Director of Development will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting Prospect Research to identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Making direct solicitation calls to potential donors.
  • Performing in person solicitations.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for donor retention, recognition, and stewardship.
  • Managing Donor and Prospect portfolios.
  • Planning and executing special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization.
  • Collaborating with the Communications team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.
  • Introducing and maintaining upgraded donor management system.
  • Monitoring and analyzing fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing a team of fundraising professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
  • A deep commitment to the mission and values of our organization.

This is a Hybrid role.
