We’re seeking a Surveillance Specialist to join our dedicated team of professionals. In this role, you’ll focus primarily on responding to requests from Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, the Detroit Police Department, Michigan Attorney General's Office, and Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to surveillance and video requests from Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, the Detroit Police Department, Michigan Attorney General’s Office, Michigan State Police, and the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
  • Review and analyze high-liability reports and video footage to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management, to ensure proper handling and sharing of video evidence for investigations, audits, and legal matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of video footage for legal cases, compliance audits, and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Attend court hearings as required to provide testimony or clarification regarding video evidence, surveillance practices, or related matters.
  • Review jackpots, emergency drops, NRT/JDU fills, and table fills to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of requests, actions taken, and video records, ensuring that all records are well-organized and up to date.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards for video retention, access control, and surveillance protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Surveillance team to address any issues related to video quality or retrieval, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in surveillance, compliance, or a related field, preferably within the casino or gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the gaming industry, including video retention and reporting standards.
  • Experience with reviewing jackpots, emergency drops, NRT/JDU fills, and table fills for regulatory adherence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and high-liability information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across various departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Willingness to attend court hearings as required.
