This is a supervisory position reporting directly to the Director of Community and Family Services.
Your responsibility as an Assistant Director will be as follows:
- Monitor unique supports not included within the ISP process, including meal adequacy, other “routines” or schedules, consumer choice, and access to community resources, and review possible structural or attitudinal limitations on the rights and freedoms of each person.
- Effective communication of all program needs is reported to the Residential Director in a timely manner.
- Contribute to maintaining high levels of staff and employee morale.
- Maintain open and effective communication with DDS Service Coordinators, parents, guardians, employees and their managers, vendors, and the community.
- Manage performance and discipline process according to agency policy and applicable law
- Ensure LifeStream's philosophy on Community, Commitment and Continuous learning is being implemented.
- Assure the implementation of Person Centered Thinking for all employees and individuals.
- Assure that the Individual Service Plan (ISP) process is conducted and carried out in the best interest of each individual served and in compliance with DDS and MRC regulations pertaining to ISP development and implementation.

Required
- Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Service field with one year of supervisory experience OR a minimum of five years of experience in Human Services. Candidate will also have demonstrated a history of quality work performance and teamwork in previous positions as well as proven leadership skills.
