Beauty Bus Driver & Guest Experience Associate

As the Beauty Bus Driver & Guest Experience Associate, you will provide exceptional service to all guests by addressing inquiries, operating the shuttle bus, handling ticket transactions, assisting in the gift shops, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will contribute to the mission of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden (FWBG) by serving as an excellent first point of contact for guests, ensuring they have a positive and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability

• Assist with guest service tasks, including handling inquiries and resolving complaints.
• Support gift shop duties, including inventory management and sales.
• Operate the shuttle bus and trams to transport guests around the Garden.
• Ensure the shuttle is inspected, clean, fully fueled, and ready for daily use.
• Maintain accurate mileage, maintenance, and repair records.

People Management/Interactions

• Provide in-person and telephone assistance to guests and resolve problems.
• Stay up to date on FWBG event information, rental spaces, and program offerings to effectively respond to related inquiries from guests.
• Assist guests with entering, exiting, and loading mobility equipment onto the shuttle.
• Participate in team initiatives and contributing to a positive environment.
• Train new staff or volunteers as needed.

Communication

• Communicate professionally and effectively with guests, coworkers, and vendors.
• Report guest experience issues and trends to management.
• Communicate policies and procedures to guests and team members.
• Collaborate with other departments and facilitate effective communication between departments and guests to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Knowledge and Skills required:

• Customer service experience and handling monetary transactions.
• Knowledge of guest service best practices.
• Familiarity with office equipment, Clover POS, Altru, and basic technology.
• Ability to learn and adhere to FWBG and guest service policies and procedures.
• Experience driving a 12-passenger shuttle.
• Proficient in effectively handling telephone and in-person inquiries and complaints.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Knowledge of record-keeping and clerical functions.
• Training in handling customer feedback and providing solutions.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Successful completion of a background and credit check (due to handling financial transactions).
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to learn and apply operational and safety procedures for shuttles, trams, and wheelchair lifts.
• Physical ability to use stairs, drive, and load mobility equipment into shuttle.
• Willingness to support and participate in FWBG public exhibitions and events.
