Location: Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.

Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Actuarial Analyst II completes diverse and complicated projects and performs complex actuarial studies for our Employer Group Stop Loss segment, supporting Commercial Pricing functions. This role primarily focuses on our rapidly growing Wellpoint Stop Loss segment.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes and implements risk contracts, including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing, and settlement work.
  • Prepares management reports and communicates findings.
  • Collaborates with a diverse group of stakeholders to provide Pricing support and Risk Analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Knowledge or work experience in the Stop Loss product area and/or Large Group Commercial Pricing Experience preferred.
