Plant Sanitation/ Janitorial

Summary Of Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Plant Sanitation/Janitorial Worker to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within our plant facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas, restrooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Accountabilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, restrooms, offices, and other common areas throughout the facility.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and equipment.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and tools to disinfect surfaces, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
• Dispose of trash, recycling, and hazardous waste according to company protocols.
• Maintain proper inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages or needs to management.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management immediately.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, including scrubbing floors, cleaning air vents, and sanitizing machinery.
• Assist with setup and cleanup during special events or shifts.

Physical Requirements

Compensation

$17.00/hour, salary commensurate with experience

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 1-2 years of previous janitorial, sanitation, or housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays if required.
