Responsible for the accurate handling of chip, coin and currency transactions. Distributes money to gaming guests via check cashing, conversion of coins, tokens and gaming checks into currency, exchanges foreign currencies and establishes credit for gaming guests.

Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Prior casino money handling or bank experience preferred.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work in a standing position.

Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all federal, state and local regulatory permits as required by position.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must have excellent guest and human relations' skills. Must be able to communicate clearly within the department and with guests.

Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

Must have working knowledge of Regulation 6A.

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Working Conditions

Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels. Must work calmly and be able to grasp change quickly. Must be able to stand and talk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Work may require a flexible (weekends and nights) schedule.

Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on assigned shift.

Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner.

Stacks and runs coin as required. Removes bags of coin from jet sort machine.

Responsible for front money, credit card advances and maintains safety deposit boxes.

Balances marker in the market bank.

Makes credit inquiries, performs credit checks and other related functions necessary to process new check cashing applications.

Communicates to other departments regarding credit information when necessary.

Implements changes in accordance with current needs.

Balances all money transactions and paperwork.

Participates in departmental brainstorming meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Job-Specific Expectations

Acts as a 'teller' for the casino.

Reports to Casino Cage Shift Manager.

Sells casino chips/tokens to customers for currency.

May redeem slot coin jackpots for customers and sell rolled coins.

Secures items from customers to be placed in safe deposit boxes.

Answers general questions about the casino asked by customers or the general public.

May issue/receive cash drawers for restaurant cashiers, etc.
