The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring for a part-time Beer Hawker to join our team at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Florida. As a Beer Hawker, you will provide our guests the highest level of customer service while serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments on event and game days.

This position receives a commission on food and beverage sold:

15%- Food

12%- Alcohol

Pay $12.00 - $12.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Circulates among guests within the assigned section; calls out and sells alcohol and/or food products, while adhering to alcohol service regulations (if applicable).
  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Hands or passed items sold to guests receive payment and adhere to credit card handling policies and procedures.
  • Stocks items assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

More About You

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment alcohol service training
  • Must possess a high level of self-confidence, with the ability to aggressively sell assigned items
  • Must possess a cooperative work attitude
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory
  • Strong communication skills, including listening skills and the ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors’ instructions
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must be self-motivated

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking throughout the venue for the entire length of shift
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently for the entire length of shift
  • Ability to maintain one’s balance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for the entire length of shift
  • Ability to raise and project voice to market and sell the product, for the entire length of shift
  • Stadium/arena environment- may be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hold and cold, depending on the season
