Position Function

As the Director of Transformation, you will be responsible for an extensive range of analytical, quantitative, and strategic projects to support the Company’s operational improvement and growth initiatives. This multi-dimensional role will span across business functions and be involved in major strategic projects and acquisitions. You will need to be entrepreneurial, innovative, and have a bias to roll-up your sleeves.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities Include

  • Support key strategic priorities of the CEO, board of directors, and key stakeholders
  • Drive execution of the Company’s strategic roadmap by developing short and long-term objectives and providing fact-based thought leadership on key strategic and financial decisions
  • Shape implementation considerations for working with different functions to translate strategy into execution (risk identification and mitigation and analytical support for operational initiatives); develop critical path timelines and hold team members accountable for results
  • Identify new capabilities throughout the business that enable enterprise-wide improvements and manage implementation initiatives
  • Spearhead integration planning and execution for acquired businesses with the various internal stakeholders; assist in the evaluation of acquisitions
  • Participate in board discussions related to strategic growth projects

Interfaces With

The Director of Transformation will report to the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and work closely with the Company’s entire executive team including financial, commercial, and operational leadership. In addition, the candidate will collaborate directly with the investment professionals at Peak Rock Capital, and on behalf of the Board of Directors.

Core Competencies

  • Strategy Consulting Experience : The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of total experience, including time spent at a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • Relevant Industry Experience : The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-growing manufacturing organization, ideally supporting medical devices and/or dentistry.
  • Relevant Project Experience : The ideal candidate will have experience in operational improvements, acquisition integration, and corporate strategy. Demonstrated experience in executing/delivering results for strategic initiatives.
  • Structure and Logical Thinking : The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a forward-looking mindset and the ability to anticipate and respond to changing market dynamics. Superior critical thinking skills are vital to this role, including the ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, demonstrate a ‘nose for value’ to discern what is important, draw valid conclusions, and solve difficult problems with effective, practical solutions.
  • Analytical Aptitude : The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication Skills: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. They will have the ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper, with both executive and cross-functional team members.

The candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person will also need to

be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
