Neck Line Machine Operator

Job Summary: The purpose of Neck Line is to create the ideal sanded guitar neck. Neck Line is the last step in the creation of a guitar neck before it is attached to a guitar body. Operators need to be intimately familiar with model types and wood species. Producing an ideal neck is paramount to creating a guitar that is both perfectly playable and aesthetically pleasing.

Essential Functions:

• Learn and execute process Standard of Work
• Meet expected productivity standards
• Able to operate a spindle and orbital sander to a high degree of precision
• 95% pass rate based on production requirements
• Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.)
• Maintains product flow at appropriate rate
• Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of various production models.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision.
• Teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.

Education and Experience:

• Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand most of the day and lift up to 10lbs occasionally.
• Occasional overtime is required
