Position Summary:
The Girl Experience Coordinator is responsible for creation and coordination of Girl Experience activities while utilizing developed tools and curriculum. This role involves creating activities, identifying vendors/facilities, scheduling with the Girl Experience Team, and producing marketing materials. The Coordinator delivers the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through scheduled activities and leads development within one of the four pillars.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Executive Support
- Develop innovative and community-based programming for all Girl Scouts in STEM, Life Skills, Outdoor, or Entrepreneurship fields.
- Implement Council Girl Scout events and resources based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
- Follow marketing strategies to increase participation in Council-sponsored events.
- Collaborate with the Girl Experience team to meet department goals.
- Ensure activities align with girls’ interests and Council objectives, performing evaluations on program offerings.
- Provide professional customer service to members and community contacts.
- Assist with girl and adult training implementation throughout the Council.
- Perform other assigned duties.

- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; willingness to travel.
- Work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Excellent written skills and computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Team development and fostering a learning organization.
- Lead by example; ask for guidance when needed.
- Understand the role of volunteers as a servant leader.
- Stay focused on tasks while balancing others.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid California state driver’s license.
- Meet Council requirements for driver insurability.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Clearance of background check.
- Registered member of GSUSA and GSCCS.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Selective Abilities & Physical Demands:
- Physical ability to kneel, bend, crouch, and reach overhead.
- Light force to lift, carry, or move objects up to 20 pounds; frequent evenings and weekends.
- Ability to remain stationary and use a computer for extended periods.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Clear communication skills for public speaking.
- Other demands as determined by the council.
