The Job

We are seeking a Program Manager to support VBM in our Scottsdale office. This position would be responsible for leading and assisting with in-person and virtual events and lectures. Examples include (but are not limited to):

• planning volunteer events for people of all ages in the Greater Phoenix area that are inspired by Jewish values.
• supporting VBM’s social action initiative, Arizona Jews for Justice, and its humanitarian relief efforts.
• facilitate AJJ’s social action fellowship for young adults or teens by mentoring fellows and coordinating group learning
• support VBM’s educational programming by attending virtual classes and provide support for in-person lectures and events
  
  

An Ideal Candidate

• has a passion for Jewish learning
• cares deeply about social justice
• is comfortable with public speaking and enjoys meeting new people and being in social environments
• has at least 2 years of experience in the areas of program facilitation, volunteer management, community building or mentorship
• must be located in the Greater Phoenix area
• background check required
  
  

Other Preferred Qualifications

• college degree or equivalent years of work experience
• proficient use of Google Suite, social media, Zoom and Canva
• organized self-starter who is able to work independently
• open to flexible work hours (some evenings and Sundays required)
  
  

The Position

• 40 hours per week
• $40,000 - $45,000 annually
